At Respira Pulse, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our macOS desktop application.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Vercel Account Username: We collect your Vercel account username for social proof purposes and to display which account is connected to the application.

1.2 Project Information

• Project Names: We collect the names of Vercel projects you choose to monitor. This information is used for social proof and to display your monitored projects within the application.

1.3 License Information

• License Tier: We collect information about which license tier you have purchased (Starter, Pro, or Unlimited).
• Activation Status: We track whether your license is active, expired, or in trial status.

1.4 Anonymous Usage Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-focused, open-source analytics platform, to collect anonymous usage data. This includes:

• Trial started/expired events
• License activation events
• Vercel connection events (with username)
• Projects monitored (with project names)
• Daily active users (DAU)
• Feature usage (such as build log copies and dashboard opens)
• Checkout opens (for conversion tracking)

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect the following information:

• Personal information such as email addresses or names (unless you contact support)
• Vercel API tokens (these are stored only on your local Mac)
• Deployment logs or code content
• Cookie-based tracking data
• Any data shared with third parties (except as necessary for license validation)

3. How We Store Your Data

3.1 Local Storage

All Vercel credentials and API tokens are stored locally on your Mac using macOS Keychain integration. We never transmit or store these credentials on our servers or any third-party services.

3.2 Analytics Storage

Anonymous analytics data is stored on Umami Cloud servers located in the EU. This data is:

• Anonymized and cannot be tied to individual users
• Used solely for understanding product usage and improving the application
• Never sold or shared with third parties

3.3 License Validation

License validation is performed through the LemonSqueezy API when you activate your license. This process only validates your license status and does not expose any personal information.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and improve the Respira Pulse application
• Display your connected Vercel account and monitored projects
• Validate your license status
• Understand how users interact with the application (via anonymous analytics)
• Improve user experience and product features
• Track trial periods and license activations

5. Your Rights

5.1 Right to Delete Analytics Data

You have the right to request deletion of your analytics data. To exercise this right, please contact us at mihai@respirapulse.dev. Please note that since analytics data is anonymous, you may need to provide identifying information to locate your data.

5.2 Right to Opt-Out of Analytics

You have the right to opt-out of analytics tracking. Analytics can be disabled by modifying the application code or by requesting a build without analytics from our support team.

5.3 Data Anonymity

All analytics data is collected anonymously and cannot be directly tied to individual users. We do not combine analytics data with any personally identifiable information.

6. Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• Vercel API tokens are encrypted and stored locally using macOS Keychain
• All API communications use HTTPS encryption
• Analytics data is anonymized before transmission
• We do not store sensitive credentials on our servers

7. Third-Party Services

7.1 Umami Analytics

We use Umami for privacy-focused analytics. Umami is open-source, does not use cookies, and stores data on EU servers. For more information, visit umami.is.

7.2 LemonSqueezy

We use LemonSqueezy as our payment and license provider. When you purchase a license, LemonSqueezy processes your payment information according to their privacy policy. We only receive license validation information, not payment details.

7.3 Vercel API

Respira Pulse connects to the Vercel API to monitor your deployments. All API calls are made directly from your device using your stored credentials. We do not proxy or store Vercel API data.

8. Children's Privacy

Respira Pulse is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by:

• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy
• Posting a notice in the application
• Sending an email notification (if you have provided your email for support)

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your information.
